New developments by InterNova (International Innovations Co.) for which US Patent 7,841,850
was issued and this combined with other patent filings have collectively resolved some of the problems arising in connection with the continuous 3D shaping of extruded profiles of complex cross-sectional dimensions.

The solution addresses the challenge of maintaining constant the inner and outer cross-sectional
dimensions of profiles during bending while allowing only for longitudinal dimensions to vary.  To achieve this, the BTX-200 is operated inline with an extrusion process enabling the shaping of profiles into 3D volumes or large objects that can be modified in real-time.

Finished products may take on the shape of elbows, loops, closed-frames, or large-size hollow 3D objects created by interlocking and fusing side-by-side coiled profiles.  Unlike most of today's 3D Printers, the BTX-200 can produce large objects faster, at much lower cost but with slightly less precision.
